IMAGINE…

Your teen completes the 3-weekend bootcamp with a completely new sense of confidence and purpose. They've worked alongside students from across the country, tackled a real healthcare challenge that affects communities worldwide, and presented their solution to an esteemed panel of innovation experts.

  • Your teen joins their innovation student team of 3-5 students, meets their Harvard-MIT mentors, and dives deep into understanding a real healthcare challenge affecting communities globally.

  • Working with their team, they brainstorm, create rough prototypes, and refine solutions using design thinking and commercialization methodologies taught by top university faculty, graduate students, & post-docs.

  • They experience a high-energy brainstorming and work session, a Hackathon, taking place at a Harvard classroom.

They listen to a fascinating keynote talk by seasoned innovators, work with subject matter experts to refine their pitch and present to a panel of experts.

The end the day with a networking session to build life-long connections that will shape their college and career trajectories.

  • The winning team will get to choose their internship at Harvard GAMI, contributing to ongoing innovation work alongside Harvard students & faculty.

The runner-up teams will be offered a semester internship with our Innovation Partner.

By the end, they don't just have a certificate. They have a story of real impact, a network of mentors, and the confidence to tackle any challenge that comes their way.

Student, 2024 Cohort

“…helped me figure out my calling, biomedical engineering, where my actual interests are. I talked about this in every college interview..”

Parent, Pilot Workshop

“...our daughter had a spark that wouldn’t have happened in a textbook setting”

Am I a Good Fit? I’m interested in…

  • Computer Science

Build healthcare apps, electronic medical record systems, or AI diagnostic tools. Code solutions that help doctors provide better care and save lives through technology.

  • Data Analytics

Analyze patient data to improve quality of care, track disease patterns, or optimize hospital operations. Use data science skills to help healthcare systems work more efficiently.

  • Teaching or Education

Create educational tools to teach communities about health and disease prevention. Design creative ways to overcome language barriers in health education.

  • Engineering

Construct medical devices, diagnostic tools, or conceptualize infrastructure. Engineers create the technologies that doctors use to diagnose and treat patients.

  • Building Things In General

Prototype medical devices, create assistive technologies, or build tools for remote healthcare delivery. Your maker skills can literally save lives.

  • Biology, Anatomy, or Allied Studies

Work directly on clinical challenges, understand patient needs, understand how the health system works, and bridge the gap between medical knowledge and practical solutions.

  • Business

Figure out how to get life-saving technologies to the people who need them. Think through the sales, distribution, and scaling that brings innovations from labs to communities.

  • Just Exploring

Perfect! Healthcare innovation needs all kinds of skills. You'll discover how your unique interests and talents can contribute to solving problems you never imagined you could solve.
